This villa located in the town center of Sallanches, in the heart of the Alps, exhibits a strong Art Deco influence. Its basket-handle arch openings clearly evoke the aesthetic of the Belle Époque, references that guided the building’s original design.
Art Deco, the basket-handle arch openings evoke “La Belle Époque,” and this villa in the town center of Sallanches, a town in the heart of the Alps, was initially designed with these influences.
Time has passed, and transformations of varying quality have caused this distinctive residence to lose its character.
A comprehensive redesign will be necessary to restore the original spirit while ensuring excellent energy performance and optimal living comfort.
Opening to the south, toward the Mont Blanc massif, we are redefining the house entrance by reopening the original door oriented toward the property entrance, which had been clumsily sealed.
Preservation of the original parquet floors as much as possible, natural light, transversality, outdoor spaces, and retention of the basket-handle arch opening but with a different prioritization on the façade, in the upper section, centered on the ridge.
Project in progress.
