The project consists of the complete renovation of an apartment located in downtown Sallanches, intended for a year-round primary residence.
The intervention aims for a comprehensive refurbishment while preserving the history of the site and its architectural components. Dating back to 1930, the building was constructed by an ancestor of the family. The solid wood parquet flooring has been renovated and sealed, offering the user a true sense of continuity with the location’s past.
A large opening created in a load-bearing wall restores spatial transversality and completely reconfigures the apartment’s interior layout.
The new layout offers a generous living area bathed in light, reflecting the character of all the rooms in the home. The choice of fixtures remains simple, functional, and durable, allowing residents the freedom to personalize the spaces while meeting essential daily needs.
